Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service, a division of the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment, is responsible for managing around 50% of Tasmania’s land mass as parks and reserves, including the internationally renowned Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.
